Have You Seen Sarang? Owners of Maltese Desperately Search for Lost Pup in Cerritos

sarangA 3-year-old white-haired Maltese went missing near Cerritos Regional Park on Saturday and her owners are offering a sizable reward for her safe return.

“Please please help our family find our dog,” a very distraught Yoon Chang told Patch.

This was the plea sent by one of the owners of a 3-year-old female Maltese named “Sarang” who went missing about 2 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 10 from their home located by Cerritos Regional County Park along Bloomfield Avenue between South and 195th streets.

Chang said her family had been cleaning their home with their front door slightly open, and after about 10 minutes, the family noticed that the white-haired pup was missing.

The family searched everywhere around the neigborhood but could not locate their dog.

“She is curious and playful,” said Chang of their beloved family pet. “She likes to run but tends to bark when she’s scared, but she’s friendly.”

Chang, who is currently working out of the country, said her family has been posting flyers around the neighborhood in hopes that the person who finds Sarang will contact them.

Dog’s Description

Sarang is a white-haired Maltese, weighs about 8 lbs., and has a yellow ribbon behind her left ear. (See dog’s photo on the flyer in the image carousel.) She is not microchipped and does not have a collar, according to Chang.

$500 Reward Being Offered

The family is offering a $500 reward for Sarang’s safe return. Please call Bumin at (562) 833-5696 with any information on the missing pup. You can also contact MarieSam Sanchez, Editor of Cerritos-Artesia Patch, at mariesam@patch.com with any questions or leads.
